Festival Statement

Black but incredibly colorful: During four days, the airfield Hildesheim-Drispenstedt turns into the beating heart of the black scene from all over Europe: M’era Luna! Since 2000, every year well over 40 national and international bands (Goth Rock, Electro, Medieval Rock, Metal and more) as well as a rich array of cultural offers make sure that 25,000 guests experience an unforgettable weekend. Of course, music forms the core of the festival – but most attendees experience the always sold-out festival as a huge family gathering. Besides, there’s a lot more than to discover than just music...

Festival wristband

ADMISSION
You will be allowed to access the campsite and festival grounds only with a festival wristband. These wristbands are issued in exchange for your valid admission ticket at the transit points between the car park and campsite. The site map will show you where your “cash desk” / wristband issuing point is located. If you are part of a group, it makes sense for you to look after each other’s luggage, while the others are collecting their wristbands. The wristband will be attached to your wrist. At the wristband issuing point you will also receive a flyer with the festival programme, the most important information, and the site map, so that you will always know what’s going on (all information and other features are also available from our Festival App). Admission is especially quick if you use our fast lane.


VALIDITY OF THE WRISTBANDS

Admission to the festival and event grounds is possible only with an original festival wristband with an original, undamaged and closed seal! If this is not the case, you are not entitled to be admitted.

Pack list

There are loads of essential things that you will definitely need to take with you to the festival, in order to feel comfortable and ready for all eventualities. We have listed some of these here. Remember that at first you will have to carry your luggage a long way. Sometimes less is more!

The right clothing is also important. You should be prepared for all kinds of weather. A hat or a cap and sunglasses will protect you from strong sunshine, but you should also make sure to have rainproof gear with you. Remember that it can get quite cold at night, even if it has been scorching hot all day. 
There is a wide variety of different kinds of food stands on the festival grounds, but you are also allowed to pack a small lunch packet for the festival grounds. 
When camping we also recommend that you provide your own food and drinks. We sell almost everything cheaply in our supermarket, Super!

  • Driving license/vehicle registration papers
  • Personal ID


It is best to keep your documents and your cash in a money belt, so that you can always carry your valuables on your person. Leave any bank cards and keys that you do not need at home, so that they don’t get lost.

Helgaa
By the way, if you have forgotten anything, you can buy camping equipment at reasonable prices any time directly in the festival grounds from our friends at helgaa. Helgaa provides you the opportunity to buy camping equipment such as pavilions, chairs, sleeping bags, tents, etc. directly at the festival. 

Those who wish to be sure can also order online in advance. Then, all you need to do is collect your ordered items when you arrive. The stand is located directly on the campsite: www.helgaa-festival.de


Infopoint

Right across the entry to our event grounds you can find the Infopoint where you can ask our staff any festival related questions. The Infopoint is also the place where...
  • ...you willl get your entry coins for the workshops of the Academy
  • ...you will be informed about free spots on our workshops of the Academy which required a sign-up
  • ...you will get tickets for our disco party
  • ...you can buy ear protection
  • ...you can submit your quote of the day. The best one will be displayed on our decorated wall at the pond which is located next to the entrance to our event grounds
  • ...you can immortalize yourself in our guestbook

Lost properity

During the festival, lost property can be handed into the collected from the Info Point. 

When M'era Luna is all over, many memories, but also lost property remains behind. Over the course of the week the lost property will be sent to the Town Hall in Hildesheim. If you have lost something, you are welcome to contact the town’s lost property office.

Please do not enquire by telephone, since the lost property office will be too busy collecting and categorising the lost property from M'era Luna. Thank you.
